Breast and Cervical Cancer Program Referral.

Sankofa Health has partnered with the Maryland Department of Health to provide FREE screenings and early detection of breast and cervical cancer. The Maryland Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (MBCCP) is dedicated to offering services such as cancer screenings, diagnostic services, and treatment to Black/ African American women in need at no cost. Yearly breast exams, mammograms, and regular Pap tests help to find breast and cervical problems early. When problems are found early, they can be treated more easily, adding years to your life.

Program Requirements:

  • Ages 21-65

  • Maryland Resident

  • Income is under $36,000

  • Uninsured or have Medicaid and need transportation or have another extenuating circumstance

All screenings are completed by Maryland Department of Health through coordination with local Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Partners (BCCP’s). Each county in the Maryland has a designated BCCP where patients can will receive their free screening.
